Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a professional and customer service oriented full-time Personal Banker I to join the team at our La Cumbre Branch.

This position will primarily service our customer’s variety of over the counter cash and negotiable transactions.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to work directly with various business partners, develop customer relationships and deliver valuable banking products and services to all customers, client’s representatives and bank associates and provide a world class experience to all.

Minimum Requirements, Activities & Responsibilities

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred

Minimum 6 months point of sales experience

Previous teller experience preferred

Essential Functions:

Primarily handles a variety of cash and negotiable transactions accurately and efficiently

Maintains current knowledge of all retail bank products and services

Offers information on bank products and services that can benefit the customer and enhance their relationship.

Successfully execute manager developed sales plan

Accurately operates network of computers/software and other equipment necessary to open new accounts, maintenance required for existing accounts, and handle financial transactions

Assists in the acquisition of consumer and small business loan relationships; accepts consumer and small business loan applications and closes loans as directed by management

Identifies and refers cross-sell opportunities as appropriate to customer requirements

Handles a variety of cash and negotiable transactions accurately and efficiently

Responds to customer inquiries and requests regarding bank products

Provides professional resolution to customer inquiries and/or problems

Other duties & responsibilities as assigned

Customer service oriented

Strong sales skills

Excellent communication and listening skills

Good judgment and decision making abilities

Computer literate in a Windows based environment

Ability to accurately handle large amounts of currency

Desire to work with the public

Successful completion of the Bank’s Customer Service Representative training

Strong Math aptitude
